What happens if I move out early?
If you leave your property before the end of your tenancy agreement, you must provide evidence that your accommodation provider has officially released you from the contract and that there is no outstanding debt associated with the property.
Your financial obligations:
- If you are not officially released from your tenancy, you remain liable for all outstanding rent until the end of your original agreement.
- If you are on a monthly payment plan with Housing Hand, you must still continue to make payments for the guarantor service until you have completed either 6 or 12 payments, depending on your original tenancy length.
It is important to confirm your release from the tenancy agreement with your accommodation provider to avoid continued liability.
