Why was my co-signer not accepted?

Your co-signer may have been rejected either by Housing Hand or they may have declined your invitation to stand as your co-signer.  

There are several reasons why a co-signer may not be accepted:  

• They are under 18 years old.  
• They are also using Housing Hand as a guarantor.  
• They are already a co-signer for someone else using Housing Hand. 
• They are unemployed.  
• They are a student.  
• They will be living at the address you are applying for. They did not accept our terms and conditions.  
• They failed identity checks multiple times and could not provide suitable documentation.
