I've been invited to stand as a co-signer. What do I need to do?

It's simple. If you've been invited to stand as a co-signer, you will receive an email and an SMS, explaining who's invited you and providing a link for you to click and follow the instructions.

If you are happy to stand as a co-signer for the applicant who has invited you, then all you have to do is follow the instructions in the link. You'll be asked to verify your proof of ID and address, along with accepting our terms and conditions.

We will update you every step of the way and once you have submitted your details, we will check them and get back to you if they aren't right or we need anything else.

You can reject the invitation if you do not wish to act as a co-signer, or are not eligible to stand as one. It's simple - all you have to do is click the button in the email, fill out the form and submit it. It takes 10 seconds.

For example, you cannot act as a co-signer for someone if you are using Housing Hand as your UK Guarantor, if you are planning on living with the tenant who has invited you, if you are not in full time work and if you are already acting as a co-signer for someone else. Just follow the instructions in the email received to reject and we will ask them to invite somebody else.
