I’ve been invited as a co-signer – what do I need to do?

You will receive an email and an SMS, explaining who’s invited you, and providing a link for you to click and follow the instructions.

If you are happy to stand as a co-signer for the applicant who has invited you, then all you have to do is follow the instructions in the link. You'll be asked to verify your proof of ID and address, if required, along with accepting our terms and conditions.

We will keep you updated every step of the way. Once you submit your details, we will review them and get in touch if we need anything else.

You can decline the invitation if you do not wish to act as a co-signer or do not meet the eligibility criteria. It's quick and easy - simply click the button in the email, fill out the form, and submit it. The process takes just 10 seconds.

For example, you cannot act as a co-signer if you are:

  • Using Housing Hand as your UK guarantor.
  • Or will be, living with the tenant who invited you.
  • Not in receipt of income.
  • Already acting as a co-signer for someone else.
