How do I renew my guarantor agreement?
You can renew your guarantor agreement with Housing Hand at any time. If your details haven’t changed, the process is quick and straightforward.
As a renewal applicant, you will receive a discount, as your fee is based on the previous year's price banding. The monthly subscription is calculated using the monthly rent of the renewed tenancy.
How to renew:
- Log into your dashboard and select the renew option on your application page.
- Ensure all payments are up to date. You won’t be able to renew if there are outstanding invoices.
- Pay the renewal fee. This covers the processing of your application, including necessary ID checks.
- Confirm your tenancy details. Let us know if you’re staying in the same property or moving to a new one.
- Verify your co-signer’s status. We’ll get in touch with them to check if they are still able to support your application.
- Set up your payment plan. Choose between a subscription or an upfront payment.
Once all details are confirmed, we will process your renewal and send you a new guarantor agreement for your updated tenancy.
Your agreement only covers the agreed property and tenancy dates. If you continue renting in the UK, you will need a guarantor for each new tenancy period.
Additionally, if you have defaulted on your rent and your accommodation provider has submitted a claim, this must also be resolved before renewal can be permitted.
Your renewal button will be greyed out while we process your details, which may take up to an hour, though it's usually quicker. Your renewal application will appear once ready. Refresh your page if needed to see the update.
If the renewal section remains greyed out or unclickable after an hour, contact us at team@housinghand.co.uk with your email and application number.
